The best asparagus ever! Simply a must to taste here at least once a year. Simply unbelievably good!

Clean, a little old fashioned, small bathroom, and restaurant operates independently so can't be charged to your room. 3 stars for moderate value for the money.

In the tavern Hirsch I find the ambience pleasant and the food good. Everything is freshly prepared and the staff is very friendly. Of course it all has its price. I give 4 stars for the deer.

Drunk coffee and rhubarb sorbet on the way home from Baden Airport to Mannheim. A dream and with pleasure again on the next flight. Absolutely friendly service and a great atmosphere.

The house was probably renovated in 2016. Sometimes you can still discover the old interior. The special charm of the house lies in the employees. We have fond memories of great service and cuisine. - fine dining -professional service -Breakfast appropriate -Room clean with balcony for smokers The deer is one of the houses we would like to come back to.

We went to dinner at the Hirschen, came from Freiburg, with a reservation. First impression: very pleasant ambience, lovingly set, cozy despite the size. Second impression: although it was only 12 o'clock, hardly any guests, the staff seemed already overwhelmed. In my opinion, they shouldn't let the guest feel stress. One tries to be polite, but it is difficult to succeed. If a waitress rolls her eyes over a guest and wants to make us accomplices, I was there for the last time - out of the question! To eat: Coming from an asparagus region I was very disappointed that it was mainly an asparagus menu. So we contented ourselves with steak and fried potatoes, as well as breaded schnitzel with french fries. In a nutshell: I can get that in every outdoor swimming pool, and it's even better and MUCH cheaper. We are absolutely disappointed and will definitely not be back, not to mention a recommendation.

Place has a big, beautiful garden where you can sit in summer and have some refreshing beverages. We stopped there for beer after cycling 30km. Beer was a little bit expensive ( two 0.5 Liter, 8.4€ ), but I accepted because it was Sunday which is normally official holiday and people had to work while I was enjoying weather. We haven't had food but I checked inside. It seems beautifully decorated, it has a vintage and romantic look just like any other Gasthaus in the area. I checked also prices: a person might have to pay minimum 20€ for a meal.

For my experience at this place I can't really give it enough stars. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I tried my limited German and they were very understanding. The room was only for me so a single but spotlessly clean with a the balcony. The restaurant was the thing that made this place absolutely amazing. I'm from Australia. I had such a wonderful dinner that reminded me of times in Germany when I was a boy staying at my grandmother's place and the classical Baden Wurtemburg food that she made. The food and the people made me feel like I was back there. The atmosphere was quant, cosy and charming. Gemütlichkeit is a German word that comes to mind. I enjoyed a a lovely local beer, wonderful meal and a beautifully matched local wine to suit the food perfectly. I've paid hundreds for a similar level of attention, food and wine in Australia. The local tobinambur schnapps to finish the meal was the best. If you are coming from overseas and looking for a place to see and taste the best of South Western Germany do stay and eat here.

It's kind of stupid to be on vacation in the middle of August and not having an agreement with the next and only restaurant. In the whole place there was no possibility to drink or eat. The next possibility was the tennis court. Even the ARAL gas station closed at 22:00. There was neither on the floor, nor in the room to get a cold beer. There was no shoe shine machine, let alone a luggage rack in the room.

Very nice and clean restaurant. The food is delicious and not off the shelf! Come again.

Upscale bourgeois cuisine at slightly inflated prices. The busy transit traffic is unfortunately also in the garden area not to be ignored. If that's the case, it's better off inside. Nicely covered with rooms of different sizes. More competent in very friendly service. Food of the highest quality.

We stopped in here after our flight into Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden airport. On our cold wintry night I must say our warm welcome and cosy greeting made me think we should have just booked a room for the night. My husband had the schnitzel and he said he thought it was the BEST he had in Germany, ever!

Nicely located and stylishly furnished. Breakfast was okay but nothing special. Rooms are a bit noisy. Prices are ok. Service is fast and friendly.

Best asparagus I ever had! This is high quality dining in a rustic atmosphere. Hosts are lovely. Also good for private parties, back room can be rented.

We visited this hotel several times the past years. This is a wonderfull hotel! Well taken care and clean rooms. Always a very welcoming reception on arrival. Furthermore they are running a very good restaurant in which we feel very much at home. Recommend!

Warm , clean room, the breakfast is fantastic and the restaurant in the evening does some fantastic meals .
